Nitra is the fifth largest city in Slovakia with about 84,000 inhabitants and is located about 80 km northeast of Bratislava and about 150 km from Vienna. The Nitra River flows through the city, and Mount Zobor overlooks the northern side of the city. Together with Bratislava, Nitra is one of the oldest cities in Slovakia.
Today Nitra is the center of economy, culture, education and sports in the region, thanks to the agro-complex also an international exhibition center. Nitra is a city of young people, with two universities, the Philosopher Constantine University and the Slovak Agricultural University.
